Your browser may allow you to control or delete cookies through its settings.
8. Guardian and Local-First Data
Certain Afronomias applications may use privacy-preserving or local-first architectures.
Guardian is designed so that private Guardian application records may remain on the user’s own device rather than automatically being transmitted to Afronomias.
Afronomias does not treat the existence of a Community membership or other connected service as permission to collect private Guardian records.
Future shared Guardian Community features may require separate shared infrastructure for information intentionally submitted to Community areas, such as community posts, messages, reactions, event participation, or member profile information.
Private Guardian records and shared Community information are intended to remain separate unless a user explicitly chooses to share information through a feature designed for that purpose.
9. Community
Afronomias is developing a Human-Centered Security Community experience.
When Community functionality becomes available, participation may require information necessary to establish membership status, provide Community access, maintain a Community identity, support shared interactions, and administer membership.
Shared Community content may include information a member intentionally chooses to post or share with other Community participants.
The introduction of Community functionality does not automatically authorize Afronomias to access private Guardian records stored locally on a user’s device.
Additional notices or Community-specific terms may be provided when the Community launches.
10. Third-Party Services and Links
The Afronomias website and services may contain links to or integrations with third-party services.
These may include services such as LinkedIn and Square, as well as other technology providers introduced as Afronomias offerings develop.
Afronomias does not control the independent privacy practices of third parties.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies and terms of third-party services before providing information to them.
11. Data Retention
Afronomias retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing requested services, maintaining appropriate business and transaction records, resolving disputes, protecting security, and satisfying legal or contractual obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, Afronomias may delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable requirements and operational needs.
12. Information Security
Afronomias uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information under our control.
However, no method of electronic transmission, storage, or processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users should use appropriate care when transmitting information online and should not send passwords, payment card credentials, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary contact forms or email unless specifically instructed through an appropriate secure process.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights or choices regarding your personal information.
You may contact Afronomias to request assistance regarding personal information that Afronomias maintains about you, including requests to correct or delete information where applicable.
Afronomias may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
We may retain information when required or permitted by law, including information necessary for legitimate transaction, security, accounting, dispute-resolution, or compliance purposes.
14. Children’s Privacy
The general Afronomias website is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization.
Although Afronomias may create educational resources intended for children or families, the existence of child-oriented educational material does not mean children are expected to independently provide personal information through the general Afronomias website.
If Afronomias introduces services specifically designed to collect information from children, appropriate notices, consent processes, and safeguards should be implemented before such collection occurs.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to Afronomias inappropriately, please contact us.
